This Sunday’s greeting was the best yet. As I was walking to the normal pick up, they drove by. As I was getting closer, they were out of the car. Ajani came running towards me. I grabbed him, gave him his customary raspberries. While on the way to breakfast, we talked about his week. What he has been doing, how are things at daycare, which children he interacts with. It was a very good conversation; he is speaking well and forming his thoughts into sentences. On the way, he mentioned that he went to the store to get Toby. So after breakfast we went to look for Toby.
The train ride is always fun. I got some new apps for my phone so that’s what we did on the way to find Toby. We had some time to kill, so I let him lead me around the Gallery. We wound up in Burlington Coat Factory and around the entire store we went. Up the escalators and down, in and out the aisles, all the while smiling and pulling me along. We did not see Toby there. At K-mart we went to where Toby should be, but was not there. We looked all around but Toby was no where to be found. He saw some one else and wanted him, He now has Thomas and Sharloey, batter operated trains. After a stop for our oatmeal raisin cookies, we went to my brother’s house to watch football.
He played with his cousins, watched football and ate. I was leaving after the drop off, he said are you leaving? I had to say Yes, But in my mind I was thinking, NOT FOR LONG!
