Penguin Walking

Posted on 15th December 2011 in Fun with my son

Well since I didn’t get the breakfast that I wanted last week, I figured this week there would not be a problem. We headed to the bus stop and he asked for his game, which he is getting good at. Moving Lighting McQueen around to get the numbers on gas cans. He hollers out that he has found the correct number.  I asked him how about Tony Boys? He said yes, but they were closed. I looked over at our other breakfast spot. He said let’s get on the train. Creamed beef here I come!! Getting off the train we headed up the steps and started to head to breakfast.

NO! I want to go this way pointing the opposite way from the restaurant. We spent a little time going back and forth about which way to go. Guess who won? I have noticed he has the same route. We will walk across Market, go pass the Aramark Building , down the steps make a right into the Gallery. Lately he has been saying which stores are opened. Then the child radar kicked in.  We have only been in the store once, about a year ago. But he sensed it out, KAY-BEE toys. Like moths to the flame we entered. He looked the store over. Saw a couple of things that caught his interest. Then he saw Mac and that’s all she wrote!

We grabbed some breakfast and a cinnabon sung happy birthday (mine was wed) ate and headed out. He caught a quick nap on the train ride. After a meal of WAWA chicken strips and his brownie, he stood up and said “look daddy I’m walking like penguin (word pronunciation is great!)” and that’s what he did! We spent the rest of the time penguin walking around the house and then the march proceeded outside.
